Transitioning to A-Level marks a significant and thrilling phase. Students experience increased autonomy and decision-making regarding their studies, surpassing the level of control they've had in their academic journey thus far. Alongside this freedom comes added responsibility, both in managing assigned homework and assignments and in activities beyond the classroom.
A-Level students are in the process of establishing the groundwork for their university and posteducation endeavours by acquiring AS and A-Level qualifications. Hence, it becomes imperative for them to make thoughtful and prudent choices concerning the subjects they will delve into in the upcoming year.
Aims of A-Level’s Curriculum:
Students typically sit for AS-Level examinations in their chosen subjects at the end of Year 12 A-Level exams at the end of Year 13.
Students are free to choose up to four subjects from a list of options that includes Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Literature, Geography, History, Business Studies, Economics, Foreign Languages, Music, Drama, Performing Arts, Media Studies and Physical Education.
